Most herb growers like to use herbs in their cooking all year round. Trouble is, winter always manages to put restrictions on growing conditions outdoors, so the obvious choice is to bring the herbs inside for continued growing or cultivation.

For dedicated growers that use herbs all year long for cooking, health and/or medicinal purposes, then a special area equipped with artificial light is an ideal solution to those who have limited success outdoors. However, it should be noted when using such light fixtures, keep plants an adequate distance away from the light – depending on the type of lighting used.
